Black Diamond Engagement Rings

Surveys show when it comes to engagement rings and wedding bands Platinum is her first choice. Because it’s a pure and naturally white metal, unlike white gold that isn’t truly white, platinum will enhance the sparkle and brilliance of a diamond. Platinum won’t fade or tarnish over time. For the guy who’s making the investment in the diamond – platinum will hold that stone more securely, that’s why the world’s most important diamonds are always set into platinum.  Look for your wedding bands at the same time as the engagement ring to see how all three rings work together and buy your wedding bands at least six months before the wedding.

a friend wants to know where to obtain a silver ring with Black Diamonds, custom-sized… however possible? any ideas asap much appriciated

Do not go to a jewelry store as these places often do not employee a goldsmith or a silversmith who is qualified to make quality jewelry, and they outsource to a manufacturing jeweler. So if you go directly to the manufacturing jeweler you can cut out the middle man and save some money, whilst ensuring you get the perfect ring!
Best of luck!

My mum was cleaning the house today and just realized the diamond from her engagement ring is missing and could be somewhere in the house or garden. We’ve started looking and vacuuming in a few places and the garden, but does anyone have any tips for finding it – like using UV or black light.
She only noticed it was missing after cleaning today so it is somewhere in the house or garden as long as it hasn’t gone down a drain. It is insured but wants to find it as it is sentimental.

Heard from other sites that blacklights could work. Luckily I think we have a blacklight and a UV torch so will be searching tonight once it’s dark. It was fairly small I think so will probably be hard to find.
Found it in the hoover bag. Does glow whitish under UV light so good to know in case in future.

Hope its insured.. It could of fell out anywhere. Thats a needle in a haystack. Good luck though

I am just wondering if I really need to buy her a diamond engagement ring. I love her very much and I want to ask her to marry me, but I don’t want to spend a ton of money on a piece of jewelry. All of her friends have these huge beautiful rings with big old rocks and I can tell that she really admires them and likes them but I just can’t see the sense on paying that much money for a ring. I was thinking around the $150 range, but when I went and looked at rings for her, it was ridiculous what they wanted even for a little chip of a diamond in a setting – upwards of $500 even for something small! Can’t I just give her a band? I saw some bands for less than $100, and some really neat looking plain gold rings with different colors of gold (like black hills gold) for less than $100 also. Why do women even need the ring anyways? I mean a ring is a ring, right? I’m not trying to be a jerk here – I just don’t understand why I need to buy an expensive ring. Would the band be okay?
I can afford more, I make good money, but I just can’t see the POINT in spending more than $150 on a piece of jewelry! I mean I would never even dream of spending money on a piece of jewelry for myself, why is it so much more important for women? She’s not really materialistic either, but I can tell just from the look in her eyes and the way she talks about and looks at her friend’s rocks that that’s what she wants, but I just can’t justify that by any means!

That is a conversation you need to have with her. A friend just wanted an inexpensive band as she is not a big jewellry person. Myself, I chose a saphire ring instead of a diamond as I tend to not like the traditional. Both options are less expensive. You need to go find out what your fiance likes though. There are many beautiful options today day outside of the traditional diamond ring. Especially if money is an issue for you right now (in college, just started your career) you need to have that conversation with your girlfriend. If she loves you, she will understand. Good luck and best wishes!
