Surveys show when it comes to engagement rings and wedding bands Platinum is her first choice. Because it’s a pure and naturally white metal, unlike white gold that isn’t truly white, platinum will enhance the sparkle and brilliance of a diamond. Platinum won’t fade or tarnish over time. For the guy who’s making the investment in the diamond – platinum will hold that stone more securely, that’s why the world’s most important diamonds are always set into platinum. Look for your wedding bands at the same time as the engagement ring to see how all three rings work together and buy your wedding bands at least six months before the wedding.

This exceptional work of art is mesmerizing. This gorgeous Oval Cut Diamond engagement ring will get you compliments daily! The super brilliant 1.00ct Oval Cut Diamond set in the center is certified through EGL (one of the leaders in diamond grading) at G-SI2 – Perfectly white and eye clean. The cut is exceptional. The amazing thing about this diamond is that it has no black imperfections what so ever. It has a small white feather on one of its sides which is hardly visible under 10X magnification. It is like getting a VS quality diamond at an SI price! We accented it with a halo of Round Diamonds set around it in a pave setting. The split shank features two rows of round diamonds in a pave setting as well. In between them we set a large and very beautiful Pear Shape Diamond on each side. The look is majestic! The center beasket features a beautiful hand made filigree design for an extra kick of originality. You are going to love this work of art forever! Get ready for the compliments.

a friend wants to know where to obtain a silver ring with Black Diamonds, custom-sized… however possible? any ideas asap much appriciated
Do not go to a jewelry store as these places often do not employee a goldsmith or a silversmith who is qualified to make quality jewelry, and they outsource to a manufacturing jeweler. So if you go directly to the manufacturing jeweler you can cut out the middle man and save some money, whilst ensuring you get the perfect ring!
Best of luck!

I have only been skiing 5 times but I am getting pretty good at it. I took a private lesson on my second time. I am comfortable on all the blue runs. My turns are really good, and I can stop well on both sides. I feel I am ready to go on some Black Diamonds, but every time I try it i can’t turn and I fall! Why is this?
If your turns are really good, you should be able to engage your edges along the full length of the ski to either side. I suspect that you are making a skidded turn rather than a true carve, also your weight is probably too far back during the steep turns, hence your skiis are running away with you and you fall back to the inside of each turn.
From this I would take you back to a green slope and practice edge control (engage and release) until I could leave just 2 thin tracks in the snow. Then shape each turn so my speed was slower coming out of each turn than when I entered the turn, your hips must stay above your boots, not behind them. I would also do all of these exercises without touching my poles to the snow or moving my hands around in a balancing attempt. Ask your instructor to verify all of this keep practicing.

my mother saw this diamond ring with black and white Diamonds total of 0.5 carat in 14 k white gold. the price at the shop is 500$ i saw it on amazon on sale for 280$. it sounds really cheap to me are these fake / artificial diamonds? also the black diamonds don’t seem to let light in and don’t really sparkle is this normal for black Diamonds?
Hello,
Black Diamonds are pretty much diamonds that are still in the carbon stage so they didn’t have enough time, pressure or heat to become crystalized like the rest of the diamonds are.
Black diamonds’ value is often one tenth of a regular diamonds but it will depend on the size and shape. Obviously if it is a really large black diamonds price could go up to thousands but will still cost fraction of a regular diamond in the same size. Also there isn’t any brilliance because they don’t let the light to reflect back from the facets. They tend to look dull black like onyx.
Without seeing the diamond ring listed on Amazon.com it is hard to estimate it’s value but you should ask the weight and quality of diamonds at both places to make a decision.
Once final thing black diamonds might be the trend right now but once it passes their value even drops lower so they won’t retain their value for the future.
Personally I would go with the Amazon.com and if you really hate it you can always return it for a full refund. I don’t think I can say the same thing when you buy it from a local shop.
Good luck!
